Common Problems

Quick fixes for frequent issues

Connection Problems

Symptoms
Can't connect to machineConnection keeps droppingHigh latency
Solutions
  • Check that your machine is in "Running" status
  • Connect from the network you started the machine from: access is limited to that internet address. If yours changed, stop the machine and start it again from the new network
  • Verify your internet meets the minimum requirements (10 Mbps)
  • Try a wired ethernet connection instead of WiFi
  • Choose a region closer to your location

Streaming Quality Issues

Symptoms
Blurry imageFrame dropsInput lag
Solutions
  • Lower the streaming resolution in your chosen remote-access client
  • Close bandwidth-heavy apps on your local network
  • Use hardware decoding if your device supports it
  • Check whether your ISP is throttling your connection

Machine Won't Start

Symptoms
Machine stuck on "Starting"Machine shows "Failed"Start button not working
Solutions
  • Give it time: a machine is usually ready within 15 minutes of being started
  • Check your wallet balance: starting needs credit for at least 3 hours at the machine's rate
  • A starting machine cannot be stopped: wait for it to finish starting or to fail
  • Contact support with the machine's name and ID if it is still not running after 15 minutes, or shows Failed

Billing Questions

Symptoms
Unexpected chargesBalance not updatingNeed a refund
Solutions
  • Check the usage history on the machine's page and your wallet transactions
  • Prices are displayed as hourly rates, but usage is metered by the minute: each deduction rounds the time since the previous one up to a whole minute.
  • Stop your machine when you are not using it
  • Contact support for billing disputes or refunds
