Getting Started

gpuxe rents Windows cloud machines with dedicated NVIDIA GPUs for gaming, rendering, video editing, AI and other GPU-heavy work. You get a full Windows desktop in the cloud and connect to it from your own device.

Unlike subscription cloud gaming services with a fixed game library, gpuxe gives you a full Windows machine. You can install any software and games from any store (Steam, Epic, GOG), and use it for work such as 3D rendering or video editing.

You need a device (PC, Mac, phone, or tablet) with at least 10 Mbps internet and a remote-access client. Remote Desktop works with the IP address and password shown on your machine page. Parsec and Moonlight are optional third-party applications that you obtain and use under their own applicable terms and licences. Check our Requirements page for full details.

We currently offer 16 machine regions: North America (N. Virginia, Ohio, N. California, Oregon, Canada Central); Europe (Ireland, London, Frankfurt, Stockholm); Asia Pacific (Tokyo, Seoul, Singapore, Sydney, Mumbai, Hong Kong); and Africa (Cape Town). Not every GPU size is offered in every region; the create form lists the regions for the size you pick.

Pricing & Billing

You add credit to a prepaid wallet and pay from when you start a machine until you stop it. Prices are displayed as hourly rates, but usage is metered by the minute: each deduction rounds the time since the previous one up to a whole minute. Rates start from €0.65/hr for the smallest GPU size. The region and upload bandwidth you choose can raise the rate, and the create form shows the exact hourly rate before you launch. There are no subscriptions or setup fees.

Charges accrue from when a machine is started, including start-up time and any wait for capacity, until it is stopped. Metered usage is deducted from the wallet balance while the machine runs, normally once an hour, and when it is stopped. The first 100 GB of disk is included in the hourly rate. Each additional GB adds €0.002 per hour to that rate, and disk is not charged while the machine is stopped. Your files and installed software persist between sessions.

We accept Visa and Mastercard credit and debit cards. All transactions are processed securely with industry-standard encryption.

Unused wallet credit that has never been spent can be refunded if you request it within 14 days of the top-up. Credit already used for machine time is not refundable, unless the machine was unusable because of a verified fault on our side that you report within 7 days; then we refund or credit the affected period. Email support@gpuxe.example to request a refund; see our Terms of Service for full details.

Credit is added to your wallet within 1 hour of a successful payment, and a receipt is emailed to you.

Service credits can only be used for gpuxe services. They cannot be transferred, traded or redeemed for cash, except for refunds permitted under the Terms of Service. Credits are not cryptocurrency.

The balance is checked each time usage is deducted. If it cannot cover the usage, what is left is deducted, the balance stops at €0.00 and the machine is stopped automatically. The stop happens at that deduction, not at the moment the balance runs out. A stopped machine keeps its disk and can be started again after more credit is added. Creating or starting a machine requires a balance that covers at least 3 hours at that machine's hourly rate. This is a check, not a charge: only metered usage is deducted.

Machines & Performance

We offer 5 GPU sizes: Tesla T4 Lite (16 GB VRAM, similar to GeForce GTX 1080, from €0.65/hr); Tesla T4 (16 GB VRAM, similar to GeForce GTX 1080, from €0.94/hr); L4 (24 GB VRAM, similar to GeForce RTX 4060, from €1.20/hr); A10G (24 GB VRAM, similar to GeForce RTX 3080, from €1.52/hr); L4 Pro (24 GB VRAM, similar to GeForce RTX 4060, from €1.80/hr). The rate in your region and with your upload bandwidth is shown in the create form.

Start-up takes a few minutes, and a machine is usually ready within 15 minutes of being started. The first start can take longer while Windows is set up. Start-up time is billed like the rest of the session.

Yes. The disk persists between sessions, so your installed games, software and files stay as you left them. They are lost when you delete the machine, and can be removed if the account is closed or terminated (see the Terms of Service). Keep your own backups of anything important.

Multiple-monitor availability depends on the remote-access software and configuration you choose. Review the applicable third-party software documentation before configuring your session.

We offer Windows Server 2022 and Windows 10 (BYOL); BYOL means you bring your own Windows licence. Each gives you a full Windows desktop for gaming and productivity. Spot pricing is only available with Windows Server 2022.

Connection & Streaming

Remote Desktop works with the IP address and password on your machine page, with nothing to install on the machine. Parsec and Moonlight are optional compatible third-party remote-access applications. gpuxe does not supply, license, sublicense, or bundle either application; you may use either where appropriate under its own applicable terms and licence.

Minimum: 10 Mbps download and 2 Mbps upload for a 720p stream. Recommended: 25 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload for 1080p. Higher resolutions need 50 Mbps or more, and a faster upload tier on the machine.

Choose a region close to your location, use a wired ethernet connection instead of WiFi, enable hardware decoding in your remote-access client, and close bandwidth-heavy applications.

Controller support depends on the third-party remote-access software, your device, and its configuration. Check that software's current documentation before connecting.

You may use a compatible remote-access client on a supported mobile device, subject to that client's current platform support, terms, and licence.

Games & Software

You can install games from Steam, Epic Games, GOG or any other source. Some multiplayer games with aggressive anti-cheat software may block cloud machines. If a specific title matters to you, contact support before you buy credit.

Games using certain anti-cheat systems, such as some competitive shooters, may not work. This includes titles like Valorant and games using kernel-level anti-cheat. Most single-player games and many multiplayer games work.

Yes. You can run Blender, DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro, After Effects or other professional software on the machine's GPU.

VR needs third-party streaming software, such as Virtual Desktop, between the machine and your headset, and a low latency to the region. Check that software's documentation before you rely on it.

Technical Issues

First, check that you have enough credit in your wallet. A machine cannot be stopped while it is starting. If it is still not running 15 minutes after you started it, or it shows Failed, contact support with the machine's name and ID (shown at the top of its page): a start that never reaches Running is not charged.

Connect from the same network you started the machine from: access is limited to that internet address, so if you have moved to another network (mobile data, another Wi-Fi or a VPN), stop the machine and start it again from there. Check that the machine shows "Running" and note its IP address and password. For Remote Desktop, enter them in your RDP client. For Parsec or Moonlight, install and configure the software yourself from its official source, then check that your local firewall is not blocking the connection. gpuxe does not pre-install or provide Parsec or Moonlight.

Lower the resolution or bitrate in your remote-access client. Use a wired connection if possible, check that nothing else is using your bandwidth, and choose a closer region if latency is high.

Make sure the game uses the NVIDIA GPU in its settings. You may need to set the NVIDIA GPU as the default in Windows display settings or in the game's launcher.
